Snowing and snowmobiles

The past few days have been great for the trails and lakes.  Every day we received an inch or two of new snow and the temperature has been fantastic for retaining the base and adding ice to the lake.

On Tuesday I spoke with a fellow ice fishing out front of our piers and he said that we had better than a foot of good ice.

We're seeing occasional groups going by and the groomers have been out during the evening.
We're stocking up for the three day weekend.  Between the good weather and the football playoffs, we're looking forward to additional traffic.

Plans are being finalized for our 3-day GermanFest (February 22nd, 23rd and 24th). One of our customers is a retired executive chef that was brought to the US from Germany to serve as a chef at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee.  He has agreed to sit with us and develop a menu of authentic German specialties for our event, as well as sharing some of his recipes and techniques!
